TWA - OT Deut 30
Walking with God is not easy.
There's so much distraction, temptation, busyness...
I mean, we are still in the world. We are not monks... you know?
So what do we do when we fall off the road? What do we do when we walk away from God?
What do we do when we feel like we have strayed so far that we don't even know how to get back?
God says v. 4 "I will gather you and bring you back."
Even before we stray, God knows that we might mess up.
He knows that we are not perfect, very sinful, very weak.
So after telling us what's the right thing to do,
and the consequences of doing the wrong thing...
He still gives us "Plan B".
It's the best if we can do all He tells us to do, and to stay in His blessing.
But when we don't... here's the encouragement.
1. He will gather you and bring you back
2. When He brings you back, He will circumcise your heart.
3. Your heart will be changed to love Him with all your heart and soul.
4. You can start obeying God...
And then guess what? Even after that, we might mess up again!
So what do we do when we fall off the road? When we turn away?
I know, you wanna give up... but we are to turn back to the Load, again!
When you fall off the horse, you just need to get back on, you know what I mean?
v. 8 "And you will AGAIN obey the voice of the Lord..."
v. 9 "For the Lord will AGAIN rejoice over you..."
v. 10 "if you TURN to the Lord..."
We just have to turn back to the Lord, again and again.
Cause you know what happens when you stop turning TO the Lord?
v. 17 "But if your heart TURNS AWAY so that you do not hear, and are drawn away, and worship other gods and serve them..."
You stop hearing God's voice! Your ears start to get blocked.
and when you stop hearing God's voice, slowly you'll be drawn away...
and start to serve other gods... maybe you don't even realize it...
Scary, huh?
Let's turn TO the Lord. He will bring us home again.
Let's have Him circumcise our heart, deeper and deeper...
so that we will never forget Him, and never stop loving Him with all our hearts.

YUP YUP, There are always so many things that takes our time away from God... long ago, there was the radio, where people would gather and listen, them comes the TV, which rots people's brains. Another brilliant invention was the computer which gave us all kinds of conveniences... however, it lead to the invention of the internet. Yeah that was really deadly depending on how you view it. From the internet birthed chat, ebay (double deadly), podcast, and now the BLOG!!!!
Every now and then, we just need to tell ourselves to go back to the basics and shut everything off... Simple and pure... So going to do that now...

Hi Mary,
This is Mandy from the Sydney choir. Don't know if you remember me or not. Thanks for the sharing. There are lots of treasures in God's word, aren't there? It is so great to have God's word with us. Through it we learn of His many promises to us, and His promises NEVER fails. Isn't that great?
I will be on short term mission in Taipei in July. I know that you guys will be on the Asia tour in Taiepi at the end of July as well. I am hoping that I will have time to worship with you all when you are in Taipei. Miss you all and it was great serving with you in Sydney. The attitude of all the SOP members in serving God has really encouraged me. I sincerely pray that God will continue to bless all of you at SOP and the ministry so that you all may continue to be a blessing to others.
Will be remembering you all in prayers. Please send my warmest regards to Tiffany and Sandy as well.
In Christ,
Mandy
