Love Overflow…

We have just completed our third event during this East Coast Tour. God has been so good to us by providing so many good hosts during this tour. Here is a little recap from last night’s event and tonight’s event.

Baltimore ~

After leaving Rockville, we arrived in Baltimore early Thursday afternoon. Our event was at one of the halls at Johns Hopkins University called Shriver Hall. Since the hall did not have in-house sound system, many volunteers had to bring all the sound equipment from their churches to the hall. Praise the Lord for providing us with so many wonderful and energetic young people to help us with set up. It was also really touching to see many different Chinese churches in Baltimore all came together and hosted this worship event. We all felt a great burden for Chinese churches in Baltimore and we hope we were able to bring some encouragements to the ones who attended the event.

Philadelphia ~

Similar to Asia Tour, we are constantly changing our residence during the tour. After just one night of staying in Baltimore, we left our hotel there and made our drive to Philadelphia. It was about lunch time when we arrived to Philly. Thanks to Wendy’s dear cousin, she took us to the world famous Jim’s Steaks at 4th and South St. for some delicious Philly Cheesesteak.

After a great lunch, we turned on our GPS system and were on our way to the venue. Unfortunately, our GPS system was not very familiar with the streets in Philly. We drove and drove and we actually got lost in the woods. The scenery was beautiful. We really enjoyed seeing so much green in the east coast, the houses all have their own styles as well. After many phone calls for help, we arrived safely at our venue. Once again, the Lord provided us great team to work with locally.

It was yet another great night of worship. Just like the Baltimore event, there was so much love flowing throughout the event. Praise God for bring so many people to the event. There were many that received Christ for the first time, and I am sure God had also placed seeds in those who did not make the commitment but were in attendance tonight.

Tomorrow we are off to New York! Time to worship the Big Apple Style!

On the Road Again!

Exactly one week after getting back to L.A. from the month-long Asia Tour, we are quickly on the road again! Just when I thought I have completed my jetlag adjustment, here comes more jetlag due to time zone changes. Praise God, we arrived safely to the Washington D.C. area yesterday. The city we are currently in is called Rockville. It is about 40 minutes from the White House! =)

We just came back from our first of five events in the East Coast. God was definitely stretching us tonight. There’s always the first time for everything; however, tonight happened to have many “first times” for many people. Here is a quick run down for our many first times…

First time working on sound on tour!
First time leading worship on tour!
First time playing first keyboard on tour!
First time playing guitar on tour!
First time making salvation calling on tour!
First time leading salvation prayer in Chinese!

Praise God for a wonderful event tonight… it is now local time 2am… so perhaps it’s time to go to sleep. We will be traveling to Baltimore tomorrow. Our second event will be held at Shriver Hall of Johns Hopkins University tomorrow night at 7:30pm. Come and join us if you are in the area!

Since I haven’t had time to give a report of our stops in Singapore, I’ll just do a quick shout out first… It was really cool meeting Grace and Cindy in Singapore! Thank you so much for helping out during our tour stop there! =)

Arriving... Singapore!

After all the wonderful events in Kaohsiung and Malaysia, we have arrived in Singapore yesterday. Since we haven't been having internet connections, it has been hard to update you all with all the event updates. With limited time, I will give you a very quick update.

Ping-Tung

Remember the story of the four friends carrying a man through the roof of a house so that Jesus can heal the friend? We witnessed similiar story in Ping-Tung. There was a young man sitting on a wheel chair who came to our event. He looked very weak, but he was full of joy and tried to worship. What touched us the most was the amount of friends he had surrounding him. They were holding his hands throughout the event and encouraged him to worship. It was a very touching moment.

Kao-Hsiung

Three powerful worship experience. The Lord's presence was definitely there and young people came forth to pray for the city, the country, and to offer themseleves to serve God!

Kuala Lumpur

We had two events in Kuala Lumpur and both events were packed with people. Pastor Sandy was giving some teaching on how to worship and the brothers and sisters really got into it. The Lord's name was definitely lifted high during those two nights. The chuches in Malaysia were really nice to us and truly made us feel at home.

After some luggage issues at the airport, we arrived to Singapore safely yesterday. Praise God! We are now at our final stop of this year's Asia Tour. Please continue to keep us in your prayers! =)

Praise On!

First Event in Tainan!

We’ve just finished our first event in Tainan. If I were to choose one word to describe this event, it would be… “HOT!”

The venue we are using for these few days here in Tainan is “長榮中學.” It is a Christian school with a long history of over 120 years. Supposedly it is also the very first high school in Taiwan. The campus is beautiful and all the buildings carry unique European styles.

The auditorium is filled with wooden benches which are over 100 years old. (At least that is what we were told.) The place was packed with people and once again it was standing room only. The place was so hot that I started to sweat on the second song and I did not stop sweating until after the event when I got on the bus.

The event was great. The congregation was worshipping with all their hearts; they were especially into it when we sang Taiwanese songs. We still have three more events here in Tainan so definitely more powerful worship to come the next couple of days.

While we are in Taiwan, we have been blessed with special visitation by our SOP members. Special shout out to Tony, HaHa, Melody, Lucy, Connie, Steve哥, Betty, and Andrewston. Thank you guys all for coming to see us and help out with events! On that note, I would also like to give special shout out to our SOP BBS members! It was awesome to finally meet Amy in Hong Kong and Andy in Taipei! =)
